Aging Planning Board

Purpose


The purpose of the Aging Planning Board is to promote and improve the well-being of senior citizens in Onslow County.  The board makes recommendations, advises, and consults with the Board of Commissioners and the County Manager on the funding and development of facilities, services, and programs to enhance the quality of life for older adults.  The Aging Planning Board coordinates and cooperates with other organizations and human service agencies to enrich the lives of Onslow County’s senior citizens. 

Meetings & Members


The Board consists of 18 members; six are at-large members appointed by the Onslow County Board of Commissioners with a minimum of four of those members being senior citizens.
  • Meetings are held quarterly in January, April, July and October on the first Tuesday of those specified months.
