August Is Immunization Awareness Month!

Onslow's Got a Shot

Did you know that in 2020 the United States saw a significant decrease in immunization rates among all age groups? Within Onslow County, immunization rates among children dropped notably during 2020. Experts believe this happened for a variety of reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including disruptions to available immunization services, lack of time or money to go to the doctor’s office, or delaying out of concerns about safety. Onslow County Health Department is here to ensure that everyone in our community can have a shot.
