Minimum Housing works to protect the health, safety and welfare of Onslow County residents by ensuring that rental properties are maintained in a safe and habitable condition, and are in compliance with the minimum standards of fitness established by the Minimum Housing Ordinance.
Once a complaint is received, the enforcement officer assigned to the area performs an inspection of the property to gather facts to validate the complaint.
Minimum Housing inspections are conducted within the jurisdiction of Onslow County and within the Town of Richlands by interlocal agreement. For properties within a municipal jurisdiction, please contact that respective Town Hall:
