The Records Division handles over 30,000 incident reports per year. These reports are entered into the computer system.
The Records Division:
Reviews and enter daily reports.
Issues reports to those who qualify.
Maintains all records.
If you need a copy of a report or have a question concerning a report you filed with the Sheriff's Office, contact Cheryl in Records.
To request a background check, click Background Check Form and print, complete and sign. This completed form can be personally delivered to the Sheriff's Office Records Division or faxed to (910) 938-2175.
The Sheriff's Office "Background Check" form is not for use by the general public. This form is designed for use by Homeland Security and State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies for Onslow County Sheriff's Office records only. A COMPLETE backround check would still need to be requested at the Onslow County Courhouse at (910) 478-3600.
