All curriculum based programs incorporate goals and objectives of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study as well as DoDEA Curriculum Standards. We welcome home school families and ask that you share your educational goals with us!

Program Fees

  • At your school (Onslow County) - Free
  • Out of county - $1 per child
  • At the Museum - Free with paid guided tour

Outreach Visit Guidelines

  • A teacher must remain with students at all times. Our presenters are not responsible for disciplining or supervising your students.
  • Prior to the presenter's visit, please remind children to observe appropriate group manners.

Hi! I am a native of Onslow County and graduated from UNC-Wilmington. 
I was a teacher for 9 years with Onslow County Public Schools.

I have two beautiful girls and am a wife to a loving husband of 9 years. 

I am very excited to assume the role of Education Coordinator and connect with students about their local and natural history.

​OCM Outreach Program Suitcase Kits

​What are Suitcase Kits?

Suitcases are filled with Educational Materials. Teachers can choose between two programs: Colonial Lifeways and Native NC. Teachers may use these materials to supplement their lesson plans when teaching content specific to the Colonial Period or the history of Native Americans.

How to: Reserve an Outreach Program Suitcase Kit


To Book an Outreach Program Suitcase Kit please submit an Outreach Program Suitcase Kit Request Form. Educator's will have the option to pick up or have the suitcase dropped off at their school.
