Youth Programs

A variety of youth lessons, workshops and programs are offered throughout the year at various locations. From youth swimming lessons to art camp, everyone is sure to find something.

Summer Day Camp Registration 

Online registration opens April 1


Onslow Parks and Recreation Administrative Office April 2

Onslow County Parks and Recreation is excited to offer its 2018 Summer Day Camp Program for children six to twelve. Participants will have five sites to choose from: Dixon Middle School, Hunters Creek Middle School, Southwest Middle School, Summersill Elementary School, and Swansboro Middle School.  There are two four-week sessions. Each session is $140 per child and $130 for each additional child (after the first). Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Each camp can accommodate 50 campers per session. Some field trips may require an additional fee; field trips cost an average of $20 per week per participant. Online registration begins April 1 and onsite registration begins April 2 at Onslow Pines Park Administrative Office. Online registration is strongly encouraged.

Two additional weeks will be offered outside the two four-week sessions.  Camp is limited to 50 campers per week, cost is $50 per child. Some field trips may require an additional fee; field trips cost an average of $20 per week per participant. Online registration begins April 1 and onsite registration begins April 3 at Onslow Pines Park Administrative Office. Online registration is strongly encouraged.



Movie in the Park
May 18, Movie Begins at Sunset
Hubert By-Pass Park

Relax, unwind, and watch a movie under the stars at Hubert By-Pass Park on May 18. Onslow County Parks and Recreation will feature a showing of “Coco”. Movie is free, open to the public, and showing will begin at sunset. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or chair. Coolers welcome, no glass containers. Girl Scouts of NC Coastal Pines: Magnetic STEM 
May 19, 1-3 p.m. 
Onslow Pines Classroom  
Onslow County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Girl Scouts of NC Coastal Pines to offer a Magnetic STEM program for non-registered Girl Scouts. Come join us for a fun morning where participants will make magnetic slim, water drop races, make raisins dance, and robots balance! Program is open to non-registered Girl Scouts in grades 2nd – 3rd and is $5 per participant.
