Congratulations to Sheri Slater on her retirement from Onslow County after 30 years of service to our community. Sheri began her career in Child Protective Services and spent 12 years working in the Onslow County Department of Social Services. In 2006, she became the Directory of Onslow County Senior Services. Sheri helped revitalize the Home Health and Hospice program turning it into a profitable program before Onslow County sold it in 2020.
Since 2013 Sheri has served as the Assistant County Manager of Consolidated Human Services and during her tenure she managed the construction of the Consolidated Human Services building, the opening of the Dix Crisis Intervention Center, and the upcoming Emergency Operations Center expansion and Senior Services renovation.
Sheri Slater’s dedication to Onslow County made a meaningful difference in the lives of many citizens and contributed significantly to the growth and development of our community. Onslow County is forever grateful for her contributions.
