Jack Bright retired from the Jacksonville Police Department as a Deputy Chief of Police after having served 30 years. He also taught at Coastal Carolina Community College for 22 years.
Commissioner Bright was born and raised in Onslow County, and currently resides in the Hubert area with his wife of over 35 years, Robin. The Bright's have one daughter, Morgan. She and her husband Colby recently made them proud grandparents.
Commissioner Bright is an active member of the Onslow County community, and has served on numerous advisory boards and commissions. He is currently serving on the following advisory board, Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce, and is also serving his third term as a County Commissioner.
Commissioner Bright holds an AA Degree in Criminal Justice from Coastal Carolina Community College, and has also received certifications from the North Carolina Department of Justice and the School of Government in Chapel Hill, NC.
