What information is used to plot my property lines on GIS maps and how accurate are they?
GIS uses several different sources of data like deeds, wills and maps and other pertinent information to plot the boundary lines of individual property owners. All sources of the property description are evaluated and the lines are plotted to the best information we have. GIS maps are not a replacement for survey maps and should be used for information and tax purposes only. For more information contact our office at 910-937-1190.
