Onslow County utilizes two methods to dispose of its personal surplus property. One method of disposal is a "Surplus Store" which is open to the public. Another method of disposal is by utilizing an electronic auction. GovDeals, is a unique, state-of-the-art, online auction service for governmental surplus to conduct on-line sales of their surplus property. Items for sale will be posted continuously on the web and can be accessed through the County's website at GovDeals.com. In order to bid on an item you must register with GovDeals. It is not necessary to register to check what is available. Items available on GovDeals include but are not limited to vehicles, computer hardware, maintenance items, office equipment and other merchandise.

Hours: The surplus store is open Tuesdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: 1909 Onslow Drive Extension, Jacksonville, NC 28540
Items Sold: Include but not limited to, computer hardware, office furnishings, maintenance equipment, office supplies, auto parts, and other merchandise. Items vary weekly.
Prices: Fixed, non-negotiable
Terms: Cash or NC Check (with a valid ID)
Customers: Open to the public
Condition of Sale: Sales are made on a "first come" basis. Items are sold "as is", "where is" with "no warranties", "no guarantees", and "no returns".
