By appointment on Monday and Wednesday at 8:15am, Tuesday at 3:00pm and 3:30pm, and Thursday at 3:00pm.

How do I obtain a copy of my immunization or medical record?
Bring a signed Release of Information Form (available on the website) and a photo ID to the Health Department. A copy of your immunization record can be mailed to your home, place of employment, physician’s office, or school. Once a child turns 18, he or she is responsible for obtaining a copy of their own immunization or medical record.
Can grandparents or friends bring children in for services?
No. A legal guardian or parent must accompany children under 18 years of age with the exception of some teen services. A proxy may be appointed after the child’s initial visit for immunization services.

Where do I apply for Medicaid?
Apply for Medicaid at the Onslow County Department of Social Services at 1915 Onslow Drive Extension, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. For more information, call (910)455-4145.
Who can I contact for an abortion?
Contact a physician of your choice. (see “Physicians” in the local phone directory for options). Contact the Department of Social Services at (910) 989-0230 for abortion counseling.
Does the Health Department provide free birth control?
Condoms are provided at no charge and may be obtained at the Registration Desk. Other birth control methods (including the morning after pill) are provided in conjunction with a clinical service that may carry an out-of-pocket expense.
Does the Health Department offer Childbirth/Lamaze classes?

Does the Health Department off Parenting classes?

Contact the Onslow County Register of Deeds, located at 109 Old Bridge Street or call (910) 347-3451.
Can I receive services other than well care?
If you are sick, see your primary care physician or go to an urgent care.
Does the Health Department offer paternity or DNA testing?

Where can I get my blood pressure checked?
Please see your primary care provider or check local pharmacies for a blood pressure machine near the prescription area.
