During a Primary election, a person's ballot will be determined by:
- the House of Representatives District a voter lives in (House 4,14,15)
- the party a voter is registered with
- the age of the voter at the time of the Primary election
Voters who are 17 years old (18 by the General Election) can vote in the Primary on any issue that will be on the November General Election ballot, but not the issues that are decided in the May Primary (example would be any referendum).
Unaffiliated voters have the option to request a Democrat, Republican, or a Nonpartisan ballot. If an unaffiliated voter requests a ballot by mail, that voter must be certain to request which party ballot they would like. If there is no choice made, a Nonpartisan ballot will be sent.
We also have referendum on the ballot this Primary election dealing with the Incorporation of Sneads Ferry. Only those citizens who live in that proposed village area, will be eligible to vote on this issue.
