LIVING HISTORY WEEKEND

Announcement: The Museum regrets that due to county budget reductions, the Living History Weekend has been canceled for 2009.

In the Spring, take a journey through time and experience key historical moments from Onslow County and North Carolina's past. Visit with re-enactors who depict characters from the American Revolution to World War II. Military life including drills, formations, equipment, and uniforms will be featured throughout the event, as well as the homefront experience and traditional trades and skills demonstrations. Visitors can also enjoy period music, costuming, and lectures. A special children's area includes "make and take" crafts and games. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is FREE and open to the public. Call 324-5008 for more information on the 2010 weekend.

Thanks to all participants in the May 3-4 2008 Living History Weekend.
