Outreach Programming

The Education Department offers a variety of exciting history and natural history programs at the Museum, the EEC, or at your school. Our staff is also happy to accommodate special requests.

Book a Program

To book an outreach program for your class please submit an
Outreach Program Request Form. For more information please call or email our Education Coordinator, Emily Baker.

This program is separated into two sections based on grade level. Plant It! A Bean! (K-2) and Plant It! An Ecosystem (Grades 3-5). This program was designed with the purpose of describing the how-to’s of plants including their life cycles, food chains and ecosystems while also giving students a close up view of the carnivorous plants that grow right here in our county, the Venus Fly Trap and Sundew Plant! The program hopes to invoke a greater understanding of how to protect plant and animal habitats and why they are essential to us. If you would like to schedule this outreach for your students please complete an outreach request form or contact Emily Baker via email, Emily_Baker@onslowcountync.gov or by phone, 910-324-5008.

All curriculum based programs incorporate goals and objectives of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study as well as DoDEA Curriculum Standards. We welcome home school families and ask that you share your educational goals with us!
