A variety of youth lessons, workshops and programs are offered throughout the year at various locations. From youth swimming lessons to art camp, everyone is sure to find something.

Onslow County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Loud Creations to offer a “Holiday Workday” giving parents an opportunity to go Christmas shopping or have a little R&R. Come create beautiful Dr.Seuss paintings, crafts, and Seuss inspired snacks at this Seusstastic Loud Creations event. Cost is $40 per child ($35 per additional sibling); ages 6-10; all supplies included. Participants are asked to wear paint friendly clothing and either eat lunch before the event or bring lunch with them.
Bring your child out for a morning of fun as we read the “Elf on the Shelf.” We will go for a nature adventure walk in the woods to see what our elf has been up to. While making crafts, warm your insides with hot chocolate and treats. Program is open for ages 2-5, parent participation required, and $7 per parent/child; $3 each additional child.
Parents need to get some last-minute shopping done? Onslow County Parks and Recreation is hosting a Kids Night Out, Christmas Pajama Party on December 7 from 6-9 p.m. Drop the kids off for a holly jolly good time. Participants will make holiday crafts, play reindeer games, and sip on hot cocoa! Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
School’s out for the holidays! Spend four fun filled days of holiday themed activities, arts and crafts, and games. The Holiday Day Camp Program is for children grades K-6. Participants will enjoy holiday themed crafts, activities, and games. Pre-registration is required; participants can register for one day or receive a discount for all four days. Cost is $20 ($15 additional child) per day. Field trips will require and additional cost. Participants will need to bring a lunch, two snacks, and a refillable water bottle each day. Parents can drop off as early as 7:30 and must be picked up by 5:30. A schedule will be sent before the start of camp.
