Youth Programs

A variety of youth lessons, workshops and programs are offered throughout the year at various locations. From youth swimming lessons to art camp, everyone is sure to find something.

Easter Egg Hunts

Join Onslow County Parks and Recreation for three hunts around the county. F Age categories: 2 & under, 3-5 years old, 6-8 years old, and 10-12 years old. Bring a camera for photos with the Easter Bunny and don’t forget your basket for egg gathering. Event is FREE and is open to the public. Hunt schedules will be posted soon.

Spring Break Camp

Onslow Pines Park Classroom

Onslow County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Coastal Carolina Artists and Crafters Guild to offer a Spring Break Art Camp on April 2-6. All supplies are included, cost is $75 per child. Pre-registration is required by March 29, must be a minimum of five participants to offer the camp. 



Summer Day Camp Registration

Onslow County Parks and Recreation is excited to offer its 2018 Summer Day Camp Program for children six to twelve. Participants will have five sites to choose from: Dixon Middle School, Hunters Creek Middle School, Southwest Middle School, Summersill Elementary School, and Swansboro Middle School.  There are two four-week sessions. Each session is $140 per child and $130 for each additional child (after the first). Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Each camp can accommodate 50 campers per session. Some field trips may require an additional fee; field trips cost an average of $20 per week per participant. Online registration begins April 1 and onsite registration begins April 2 at Onslow Pines Park Administrative Office. Online registration is strongly encouraged.

Two additional weeks will be offered outside the two four-week sessions.  Camp is limited to 50 campers per week, cost is $50 per child. Some field trips may require an additional fee; field trips cost an average of $20 per week per participant. Online registration begins April 1 and onsite registration begins April 3 at Onslow Pines Park Administrative Office. Online registration is strongly encouraged.


Girl Scouts of NC Coastal Pines: Magnetic STEM

Onslow County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Girl Scouts of NC Coastal Pines to offer a Magnetic STEM program for non-registered Girl Scouts. Come join us for a fun morning where participants will make magnetic slim, water drop races, make raisins dance, and robots balance! Program is open to non-registered Girl Scouts in grades 2nd – 3rd and is $5 per participant.
