Youth Programs

A variety of youth lessons, workshops and programs are offered throughout the year at various locations. From youth swimming lessons to art camp, everyone is sure to find something.

Tails, Scales, and More!
September 19, 6-8 p.m.
Onslow Pines Park Classroom
Join Onslow County Parks and Recreation and Eastern Exotics to learn about creatures with tails, scales, and more. Participants will learn about the natural world through live animal presentations and will have the opportunity to touch, feel, and hold some of these creatures

Zumba in the Park
September 23, 9 a.m.
Zumba is a high-energy workout that incorporates Latin and international music. Join us for a workout that will feel more like a dance party; you will leave feeling fit and happy! Class is $5 per participant. 
Park After Dark
September 29, 6 p.m.- September 30, 10 a.m.

Grab your tents and camping gear and head to Onslow Pines Park for Park After Dark Family Campout!  Families are invited to camp out under the stars and enjoy an evening of nighttime fun.   Kickstart your Saturday morning with Family Zumba lead by Juiliana Aaron. Fee is $5 per person or $15 for family up to 5 people and includes dinner, smores, and a breakfast snack. 

Movie in the Park
September 29, 8:30 p.m.
Onslow Pines Park
Relax, unwind, and watch a movie under the stars at Hubert By-pass Park on August 25. Onslow County Parks and Recreation will feature a showing of “Captain Underpants”. Movie is free, open to the public, and showing will begin at sunset. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or chair. Coolers welcome, no glass containers
