Please Read for Closed County Offices and Reduced Services.

In an effort to practice social distancing, Onslow County has compiled a list of departments that have services that can be accessed via the www.Onslowcountync.gov website.
Senior Services: Citizens needing services and/or information on Senior Services may call 910-455-2747 during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Available services and agency specific information will be regularly updated on the county webpage, http://www.onslowcountync.gov/538/Senior-Services as well on the agency’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/OnslowCountySeniorServices/ .

Register of Deeds:
Citizens can find out how to obtain majority of services through our website at www.Onslowcountync.gov Citizens can order vital records through https://onslowrod.permitium.com/rod… or the mail. E-recording is also available through Onslow County Register of Deeds vendors and a majority of local attorneys’ offices already have this set up for recordings. The only thing that will be unavailable would be marriage license issuance and recording of Maps.

Environmental Services (Vector Control) Citizens may contact Environmental Services during regular business hours for questions or concerns at 910-455-0181.

Library:
The Library has a host of virtual services available to service patrons – digital books, audiobooks, videos for children and adults, online classes including language learning. These services do require a library card. If a patron does not have a library card, staff can set one up over the phone. The direct link to these digital resources is http://www.onslowcountync.gov/162/Digital-Resources. The library has promotional marketing from vendors that can be used to promote via social media. If the situation warrants closure, all due dates will be extended for all of those items checked out.

DSS has the option to apply for economic services (Food and Nutrition benefits as well as Medicaid) on-line. https://epass.nc.gov/CitizenPortal/application.do

Albert J. Ellis Airport (OAJ)
The Airport’s website, www.flyOAJ.com, offers live flight status information, an option to purchase tickets as well as links to many of our business partner’s websites such as airlines and rental car companies. Passengers should contact their respective airline for flight-related questions and Airport staff may be contacted at (910) 324-1100 or via the contact us link on the website for facility-related questions such as lost and found, parking, public safety, etc.

Soil and Water:
Citizens can reach out to our department by contacting the office at 910-937-1306 for assistance or by filling out a “Request for Technical Assistance Form” that is hyperlinked on the department’s homepage (https://www.onslowcountync.gov/…/Soil-Water-Conservation-Di…) if services were to be offered online only.

Sheriff’s Office:
The Sheriff’s Office can be contacted for non-emergency request for service at 910-455-3113; however, all emergency requests should be directly to 911, which will then be directed to the appropriate responding division. The Sheriff’s Office encourages citizens submitting an application for gun purchase and concealed carry permits to do so online at https://onslowso.permitium.com/entry.

GIS:
For access to GIS, citizens can go to https://maps.onslowcountync.gov/ to view maps, ownership, values, etc. For customers needing a specialized map, GIS could create a PDF map and email it to the customer. If citizens need a printed map, they would have to print it themselves from the PDF. For customer questions/issues, instead of coming to the office please call and GIS will research any issue.

Court System:
The public can reach the court system by calling 910-478-3600. Citizens can access court calendars, inquire on court dates, request dismissal of DMV related citations such as vehicle registration violations and no operator’s license, pay many traffic citations, and make probation payments online at www.nccourts.gov.
Onslow County employees will continue to report to work during this time. Citizens are encouraged to use the many online options to access County services and make payments.

County leadership will continue to actively monitor COVID-19 and assess city operations based on developments.

Citizens are encouraged to monitor www.OnslowCountync.gov and the County's Facebook and Twitter platforms for updates to city operations past March 30.
