[ARCHIVED] Onslow County Government Christmas & New Year’s Day Holiday Closures

Christmas Holiday Closures

Most Onslow County offices and operations will be closed on Friday, December 23, Monday December 26, & Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Among the closures is the Onslow County Landfill and Convenience Sites for Saturday and Monday, December 24 & 26, 2022. The Landfill and Convenience Sites will open as usual on Tuesday, December 27.

Onslow County Public Library branches and the Onslow County Museum will also be closed Friday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 27, 2022, but both will observe regular hours Wednesday December 28.

Onslow County Sheriff's Office administrative offices will be closed Friday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Deputies and Animal Services Officers will be responding to emergency calls.

Onslow County Department of Social Services will be closed Friday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 27, 2022, but if you need to make a report of child or elder abuse, neglect, exploitation, or dependency, you can call the Onslow County Sherriff’s office at 910-455-3113 and ask for the on-call social worker.  

New Year’s Day Holiday Closures

Most Onslow County offices and operations will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023 in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.

The Onslow County Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed on Monday January 2, 2023.

Onslow County Museum will be closed Saturday, December 31 through Monday, January 2, 2023 and will follow normal business hours Tuesday, January 3.

Onslow County Public Library branches will close at 3PM on Saturday, December 31, 2022 and remain closed Sunday, January 1 through Monday, January 2, 2023. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 3.

Onslow County Sheriff's Office administrative offices will be closed Monday, January 2, 2023, but Deputies and Animal Services Officers will be responding to emergency calls.
