Statement on the Passing of Randolph Thomas

W. Randolph Thomas, who served on the Onslow County Board of Commissioners beginning in 1972, passed away on March 15, 2023 at the age of 91. Thomas was a developer and entrepreneur who in his later years gave back to Onslow County by being an advocate for the community and championing festivals in the Swansboro area.

Tim Foster, Chairman of the Onslow County Board of Commissioners, issued a statement:

Randolph Thomas leaves behind a legacy of service to his community and served as a positive leader on the Onslow County Board of Commissioners during his term. His dedication to public service is an inspiration to others, including his son Randy Thomas who was a long serving member of the Jacksonville City Council. I offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this period of mourning.
