I found a dead bird on my property. Do I need to have it tested for any disease?
No. The State Public Health Pest Management Lab no longer tests birds for mosquito borne diseases. The State Lab has directed mosquito programs statewide to conduct activities on the assumption that EEE and West Nile are present in each area. Please dispose of any dead birds you find.
